Sarah was born in Germany, and lived all over Europe and the United States as a result of growing up in the Army. Her passion for exploring cultures and learning from others has landed her in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she has made her permanent home since 2018.
Her devotion for helping others achieve their highest potential led her to complete her undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise with a focus on exercise and health promotion at Virginia Tech. Furthermore, she pursued her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Huntington University in Fort Wayne, Indiana, having completed her residency with a focus on sensory-integrative, affordable housing and promoting mental health care through occupational therapy services.
Sarah possesses extensive experience in the fields of sports medicine and rehab, having worked and traveled with the Virginia Tech Football, Swim and Dive, and Men’s soccer teams. Prior to becoming a pediatric therapist, she worked with the adult, orthopedic population for three years.
Her love for children led her to serve the pediatric population using a client-centered, evidence-based treatment approach for addressing a wide range of conditions such as developmental delays, autism, sensory processing disorder, fine motor deficits, cerebral palsy, feeding difficulties, Down syndrome, torticollis, and other neurological and physiological disorders. Her occupational therapy interests include sensory feeding disorders, as well as mental health care for children.
In her spare time, Sarah’s hobbies include exploring unique fitness opportunities, baking sweets, traveling with her husband and competing in races and triathlons.”
