Elizabeth Piña is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist who joined Milestone Therapy Inc. to collaborate with a strong multidisciplinary team. She attended Western Carolina University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Elizabeth continued her education at Western Carolina University, obtaining a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in May 2019. She has clinical experience in a variety of adult and pediatric settings. Clinical experience includes working with various populations, including Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Autism, stuttering, developmental delays, selective mutism, and other speech-language delays/disorders. Areas of interest include working with bilingual children and Augmentative and Alternate Communication. Elizabeth is passionate about working with children of all ages, helping to strengthen their communication needs and help give them a voice. She strives to advocate for children and families navigating a community with language barriers.
Elizabeth was born in Chicago and moved to Canton, North Carolina in 2004. While Elizabeth loves the mountains, her heart will always belong to city life. She moved to South Charlotte in May 2019 with her Australian Shepard, Coco. In her spare time, Elizabeth likes to read, hike, travel, adventure with friends, and spend time with family and Coco.
