Elissia is originally from Roswell, New Mexico and received her Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from Brown Mackie College in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Elissia has worked in different environments starting off in the school systems on Native American pueblos, along with skilled nursing facilities, home health, and pediatric clinics. Elissia’s experience includes working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, dyspraxia, sensory processing disorder, fine motor delays, visual motor delays, cerebral palsy, sensory feeding difficulties, and developmental delays. A passion of hers is exploring new ways to assist individuals and their caregivers on developing skills they will use throughout their life in a fun therapeutic way. She knows that there are no two children alike, which fuels her desire to continue gaining new knowledge through any professional development opportunities.
In my spare time I enjoy eating food, reading, yoga, the outdoors and spending time with my loved ones, which includes my dog.
