Caryn is originally from Tampa, FL. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of South Florida then moved to earn a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Caryn is skilled in working with children with a wide range of motor, cognitive, genetic and neurologic disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, TBI, Autism, Torticollis, prematurity, developmental delays, sensory and motor based feeding disorders, handwriting delays, fine motor, and visual motor delays. Caryn has taken advanced coursed in Sensory Integration, handling with neuro-developmental treatment (NDT), and feeding using The Beckman Oral Motor Protocol. She is also certified in Therapeutic Listening and Handwriting Without Tears as well as MNRI Approach training. Caryn believes in focusing on the child’s strengths and interests to gain skills to improve overall engagement with the child’s environment.
